Open Dodge MasterWhat is this game?
Dodge Master is a lane-free survival game. You steer one craft left and right along the bottom of the arena while hazards fall towards you, and the run ends the moment something hits you - unless a shield charge absorbs it. Credits dropped during a run are permanent currency you spend between runs.
The difficulty is driven by a level counter, and the level is simply time survived: floor(seconds / 15) + 1. Each level shortens the gap between hazard waves, raises hazard speed, and unlocks new spawn patterns, so the pressure increases on a fixed fifteen-second cadence rather than at random.
Progress persists between runs in two ways that matter. Credits accumulate into a wallet and buy permanent upgrades in the Power-Up Lab; achievements and career statistics are recorded separately. Both live in this browser only, under RTK_DODGE_MASTER_DATA in localStorage.
How to play
- Pick a modeClassic Survival runs until you are hit. Coin Rush and Time Attack are both 60-second runs - Coin Rush spawns credits roughly twice as often, and Time Attack is scored purely on what you can bank before the clock expires. Running the clock out in either mode is a completed run, not a loss.
- SteerArrow Left and Arrow Right, or A and D, move the craft. On touch you can drag anywhere on the canvas - the game captures the pointer so your finger does not have to stay on the ship - or use the on-screen left and right buttons below the arena.
- Take the near missesPassing within a hazard's near-miss band - your half-width plus its radius plus 24 pixels - awards a bonus and feeds the combo counter. Playing safe in open space scores less than threading gaps deliberately.
- Bank credits, then visit the Power-Up LabCredits collected during runs go to your wallet. Between runs, open POWER-UP LAB and spend them on the six systems; each level of a system costs more than the last, on a fixed multiplier per system.
- Check ACHIEVEMENTS and CAREER STATISTICSTen achievements track first deployment, survival milestones, reflex milestones, credit totals, near-miss and combo play, and upgrade progress. Career statistics keep your bests across every run on this browser.

Scoring and results
Survival score
While you are alive the score accrues at 100 points per second, multiplied by the current speed multiplier and by any active score multiplier. The frame delta is clamped to 50 ms first, so a stutter or a tab switch cannot pay out a burst of points it did not earn.
Near-miss bonus and combo
A near miss is worth 50 points times your active score multiplier, and each hazard can only award it once. Near misses drive the combo counter, which decays on its own timer if you stop taking risks - the combo is a reward for sustained close play, not a total.
Level, and what each level changes
Level is floor(survival seconds / 15) + 1. The gap between waves is max(minimum, 1.15 - (level - 1) x 0.08) seconds and hazard speed is (18 + level x 6) times the speed multiplier. New patterns unlock as you climb: three-way spreads and fast shards at level 2, vertical clusters and zigzags at level 3, and wide blocks and hazard waves at level 4.
The six Power-Up Lab systems
Aegis Shield (base 100 credits, x1.8 per level, up to 3) absorbs one collision. Coin Magnet (250, x1.7, up to 4) pulls credits in from 140 + 35 per level pixels. Chrono Warp (350, x1.8, up to 3) slows hazards by half. Score Overdrive (500, x1.9, up to 3) raises the score multiplier. Hyper Thruster (400, x1.75, up to 3) adds 35% to your movement speed. Credit Synthesizer (750, x2.2, up to 2) yields two to three times the credits.
Difficulty multiplier
Easy applies a 0.8x multiplier and Hard a 1.3x multiplier. It scales hazard speed and the survival rate together, so a Hard run is worth more per second as well as being more dangerous.
What this game tests
- Sustained reaction and correction under a difficulty curve that steps every fifteen seconds
- Whether you can steer accurately enough to earn near misses instead of avoiding hazards widely
- How long you hold a combo once the spawn interval tightens
- Whether your touch dragging is as precise as keyboard steering on the same run
- How you allocate a limited credit budget across six upgrade paths
Limits worth knowing
A browser can only report what the platform gives it. These are the honest boundaries of this page, so a result is never read as more than it is.
- Credits are game currency and nothing else. They are a number in localStorage, they cannot be bought, and there is no payment, account or purchase anywhere in this game - the only way to get them is to collect them in a run.
- One shield charge stops exactly one collision. It stays active until something hits it and then it is gone for that run; buying more levels raises the charges you start with, not their strength.
- Timed modes end at 60 seconds by design and that counts as finishing, not failing. If you are chasing a survival record, Classic Survival is the mode that has no ceiling.
- The frame-delta clamp is a fairness measure, not a performance claim. On a slow device the game will drop frames and feel worse to play, and the clamp only stops those dropped frames from being paid out as score.
- Everything is local. Wallet, upgrade levels, achievements and career statistics sit in RTK_DODGE_MASTER_DATA in this browser's localStorage - no leaderboard, no sync, no server, and clearing site data resets your progress permanently.
Tips for a higher score
- Buy Aegis Shield first. At 100 credits it is the cheapest upgrade and it converts your first mistake of a run into a survivable one, which is worth more early than any score bonus.
- Use Coin Rush to fund the Lab and Classic to set records. Coin Rush spawns credits about twice as often, so sixty seconds there is worth more to your wallet than a cautious long survival run.
- Learn the fifteen-second cadence. Levels arrive on a timer, so you know when the spawn gap is about to tighten - move towards open space just before a level rolls over rather than reacting after it.
Troubleshooting
My run ended even though I bought a shield.
A shield charge absorbs one collision and is then spent for the rest of the run. If you had already taken a hit, the next one ends the run. Higher Aegis Shield levels give you more charges to start with.
The run stopped at 60 seconds and I had not been hit.
Coin Rush and Time Attack are both 60-second modes; the clock expiring ends the run as a completed one and your score stands. Switch to Classic Survival for an open-ended run.
Touch steering feels like it loses my finger.
It should not - the canvas captures the pointer, so dragging works even when your finger moves off the ship. If it does drop out, the on-screen left and right pads below the arena are an alternative that does not rely on pointer capture.
My credits and upgrades are gone.
They were stored in this browser under RTK_DODGE_MASTER_DATA. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching browser or device starts a new empty profile; there is no account to recover from.
