Escape the Room is an atmospheric point-and-click browser puzzle game. Trapped inside a locked room with no direct exit, you must investigate objects, uncover hidden codes, solve interconnected mechanisms, and unlock the final blast door before the 10-minute timer runs out.
Click on interactive room elements such as the Wall Clock, Oil Painting, Bookshelf, Floor Safe, Desk, and Computer Terminal. Hovering over objects highlights them with an interactive glow and displays an inspection prompt.
Every puzzle in the room connects into a logical progression chain: aligning the clock hands reveals a number clue, tilting the painting exposes a secret color sequence, the color sequence unlocks the steel vault, pulling the catalog book slides open a secret panel, the drawer yields an access badge, and the computer terminal decrypts the master exit code.
Use your mouse or touch screen to navigate and interact. For fast play, keyboard shortcuts are supported: press ESC to close modals or pause, I to toggle your Inventory, H to request a Hint, and R to initiate a Room Restart.
You begin with exactly 10 minutes (600 seconds) on the clock. At 2 minutes remaining, the timer turns warning amber. With 30 seconds left, it pulses critical crimson. If the countdown reaches zero before you escape, the electronic locks seal permanently.
You are granted 3 progressive hints per game run. Hint 1 provides a subtle orientation clue, Hint 2 narrows down the specific object, and Hint 3 provides direct guidance. Each hint deducted applies a 250-point score penalty.
You begin with a 10,000-point base score. Points decrement by 1 point per second of elapsed time, with penalties for wrong lock attempts and hints. Escaping awards a massive time bonus (10 points per remaining second), determining whether you achieve 1, 2, or 3 Stars.
Every time you start a New Game, the clock target, secret color sequences, drawer combinations, and master door codes are procedurally randomized while maintaining 100% solvable logical consistency.

A typical successful escape takes between 5 and 8 minutes. You have a maximum of 10 minutes before the room locks down.
