OVERVIEW

What is a Kohi Click Test?

A Kohi-style click test measures how many mouse clicks you can register per second. The term originated in competitive Minecraft PvP communities, where rapid left-clicking gave players advantage in knockback reduction and hit registration combos.

Today, the test serves as a universal benchmark for mouse responsiveness, finger agility, and clicking endurance across FPS, MOBA, and rhythm gaming.

METRICS

Understanding CPS (Clicks Per Second)

CPS is calculated as the total number of registered click events divided by the elapsed seconds.

CPS = Total Valid Clicks / Elapsed Seconds

* Note: Short burst tests (1s to 5s) typically produce higher CPS scores than 15s or 60s endurance tests where muscle fatigue reduces finger speed.

TIPS & ERGONOMICS

How to Get a Higher CPS

  • Keep Your Hand Relaxed: Muscle stiffness slows down switch actuation.
  • Minimize Finger Travel: Keep fingers close to the mouse button surface.
  • Find Your Rhythm: A consistent metronome cadence prevents dropped clicks.
  • Avoid Excessive Strain: Take regular breaks to prevent repetitive strain injury (RSI).
