JITTER CLICKING TECHNIQUE

Jitter clicking uses rapid, controlled hand/wrist muscle vibration while maintaining consistent switch contact. The tool measures your physical click outcome.

Keep Grip Controlled:

Anchor your palm lightly to prevent mouse drift during vibration.

Focus on Cadence:

Smooth, sustained rhythm produces higher scores than sporadic bursts.

Avoid Strain:

Take regular breaks and stop immediately if you feel joint discomfort.

Jitter Clicking Test Guide

Learn what jitter clicking is, how CPS is measured, and how to practice more consistently.

OVERVIEW

What is Jitter Clicking?

Jitter clicking is a specialized rapid clicking technique commonly practiced in competitive gaming. The method involves intentionally tensing the forearm and hand muscles to generate micro-tremors that translate into rapid button clicks.

This tool observes browser-level click event timing. It measures your clicking results accurately, but does not directly measure muscle vibration, physical actuation force, or switch debounce characteristics.

CALCULATION

How CPS is Calculated

CPS stands for Clicks Per Second. It is defined as:

CPS = Total Valid Clicks / Elapsed Seconds

* Note: Short burst tests (1s to 5s) produce higher burst CPS because muscle fatigue has not set in. Longer tests (15s to 60s) reflect true endurance.

TRAINING TIPS

How to Improve Jitter Clicking

  • Practice Rhythm: Focus on consistent timing rather than uncontrolled muscle spasms.
  • Relax Your Grip: Anchor your palm lightly without death-gripping the mouse shell.
  • Find Your Position: Experiment with claw or fingertip positions to find comfortable vibration.
  • Track Progress: Monitor average CPS and consistency % across repeated sessions.
  • Avoid Excessive Strain: Stop immediately if your wrist, forearm, or fingers experience numbness or pain.
COMPARISON

Jitter Clicking vs Other Techniques

ClassicStandard

Standard single-finger clicking. Safe, high precision, typical rate 5–8 CPS.

JitterVibration

Controlled rapid hand/forearm vibration. Requires practice, typical rate 9–13 CPS.

ButterflyTwo-Finger

Alternating two fingers on one switch. High click frequency, typical rate 12–18 CPS.

DragFriction

Friction-sliding finger across switch surface. Produces extreme short bursts, 15–30+ CPS.
