Gamepad Tester
Test your controller buttons, analog sticks, triggers, D-pad, and inputs online with real-time browser Gamepad API telemetry.
No Gamepad Connected
Connect a game controller to your device and press any button to activate the browser Gamepad API.
Visual Controller Preview
Reactive diagram updating strictly from live hardware input.
Stick Drift Check (Rest Observation)
Sample resting axis stability over 3 seconds to measure potentiometer tolerances.
Release both thumbsticks so they rest freely at center, then click Start Drift Check. The tool will sample continuous hardware coordinates and calculate actual min, max, and average resting displacement.
Button Test
Real-time button press status and pressure values.
Trigger Test (LT / RT)
Analog travel and pressure values.
D-Pad Directional Test
Supports simultaneous multi-direction diagonal presses.
Analog Stick Test & Deadzone Analysis
Live X/Y coordinates (-1.000 to +1.000) with configurable visual deadzone.
Deadzone note: Deadzone is a visualization aid and does not modify your controller hardware. Potentiometer thumbsticks naturally report slight resting variance (e.g. ±0.01 to ±0.05), which games absorb with deadzones.
Vibration / Rumble Test
Native vibration actuator test.

How to Test Your Gamepad Online
Follow these steps to thoroughly test your controller inputs, sticks, triggers, and rumble.
Connect your Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, or generic PC controller using USB or Bluetooth. Once connected, press any button to trigger the browser Gamepad API.
Press every face button, bumper, and trigger. Watch the Visual Gamepad highlight and check the dynamic Button Test cards for accurate 0.00 to 1.00 pressure readings.
Rotate both thumbsticks smoothly in circles to verify full 360-degree deflection. Release both sticks and start the 3-second Stick Drift Check to measure resting center stability.
Browser Compatibility
The Gamepad API is supported in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and Apple Safari (desktop and iOS 14.5+). Vibration testing uses the Gamepad VibrationActuator specification, which is currently supported primarily in Chromium browsers on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Privacy Assurance
Gamepad input is read through your browser's Gamepad API. This tool does not need to upload controller input data to a server. All button presses, stick movements, and rumble triggers execute purely inside your local browser tab with zero telemetry.
